Cardiology Service

Our cardiology service offers expert clinical consultation and advanced care for a wide spectrum of heart conditions. Our experienced cardiologists provide personalized assessments and treatment plans to support long-term cardiovascular health.

We commonly manage conditions such as:

  • Coronary Artery Disease (CAD)
  • Heart Failure
  • Arrhythmias (e.g., atrial fibrillation, bradycardia)
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • Hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol)
  • Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)

These are among the most frequently treated conditions, but our expertise extends beyond this list to include many other cardiovascular disorders.

Diagnostic Procedure :

  • Exercise Stress Test – evaluates heart function during physical exertion.
  • Echocardiography
  • Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) – non-invasive chest ultrasound.
  • Transoesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) – detailed imaging via the esophagus.
  • Stress Echocardiography – assesses heart performance under stress.
  • Holter Monitor & Event Recorders – continuous heart rhythm monitoring.
  • CT Coronary Angiogram – non-invasive imaging of coronary arteries.
  • Stress MRI Heart – high-resolution imaging of heart function under stress.

Clinical assessment and workup for following symptoms:

    • Chest discomfort or pain at rest or on exertion
    • Shortness of breath at rest or on exertion
    • Reduced exercise tolerance
    • Orthopnea or paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea
    • Palpitations or awareness of heartbeat
    • Irregular or rapid heart rhythms
    • Episodic or persistent tachycardia or bradycardia
    • Lightheadedness
    • Fainting episodes or syncope
    • Lower limb or whole body swelling (edema)
    • Heart murmurs identified on examination

Clinical evaluation and management of the following cardiovascular diseases:

  • Coronary artery disease
  • Cerebral vascular disease or ischemic stroke
  • Aortic and peripheral vascular disease
  • Heart failure or cardiomyopathy
  • Tachyarrhythmia and bradyarrhythmia
  • Valvular heart disease
  • Adult congenital heart disease

Other clinical services:

  • Clinical evaluation and monitoring of cardiac patient in need of chemotherapy and target therapy.
  • Preoperative assessment of cardiac patients or elderly in need of moderate or high risk operation.

Management of cardiovascular risk factors and related complications of following :

  • Hypertension
  • Diabetes
  • Hyperlipidaemia
  • Obesity

Outpatient Diagnostic Procedures

Where clinically appropriate, outpatient diagnostic procedures may be considered, including:

  • Electrocardiogram (ECG): resting electrical activity of the heart
  • Holter Monitoring (Ambulatory ECG): extended rhythm monitoring for arrhythmia assessment
  • Echocardiography in form of transthoracic echocardiogram or transoesophageal echocardiogram: cardiac structure and function assessment
  • Exercise Stress Test: evaluation of symptoms and ECG changes during exercise
  • Stress echocardiogram: echocardiographic assessment for cardiac ischemia and viability without use of radiation and contrast.
  • CT coronary angiogram: use of CT imaging to assess heart structure, coronary and aortic anatomy
  • MRI heart : use of MRI to assessment heart structure, function & viability

Cardiac invasive interventional procedures :

  • Coronary angiogram, intracoronary imaging and coronary angioplasty
  • Electrophysiology & Arrhythmia Interventions
  • Pacemaker and implantable cardiac defibrillator implantation
  • Electrophyiological studies and ablations e.g. radiofrequency ablation for SVT / pulse field ablation (PFA) for atrial fibrillation
  • Pacemaker and defibrillator implantation
  • Peripheral vascular angioplasty
  • Catheter based left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO)
  • Catheter based patent foramen ovale /atrial septal defect occlusion (PFO/ASD occlusion)
